You all probably figured out I'm not painting. I've taken a long break with the exception of the time I visited my sister Marge in SC. I had sent her painting supplies (I have enough to start a store!) and I taught her some watercolor techniques while I was there. Since then I've sent her more stuff and hope she's painting. And today I decided my break is over. I plan to start painting again this afternoon, even if It's just something simple and small. Added extra benefit of painting is that Jack knows I shouldn't be bothered while working in the art room. He's pretty smart. Happy November 1st. Set your clocks back tonight. Daylight Savings time is over. 😁😘

I haven't figured out how to crop, save, and add to this page. This is the painting I did a couple of days ago. Flowers om the Fence, all watercolor, done in my sketch pad and torn out.

So I painted both yesterday and today and will post pix later today. I really like one painting and will redo the second. Hope y'all are having a good day. It's been raining a bit and it's a dark day.

I painted for a bit yesterday but I would be embarrassed to post the pic. It sucks big time. That's what happens when you don't paint for a while; at least that's my experience. My colors look muddy and it's just a hot mess. Painting is a lot like writing. If you do a little bit every day (or thereabouts) you end up with something good that gets a lot better with time. So my new resolution is to paint at least 30 minutes a day. Wish me luck?

So I've not painted in a while, but I'm really excited to begin again. Downloaded three pix from my Facebook feed and I'm not sure I can choose which one to start with. Will it be the cherry blossoms superimposed over the Japanese house that my grandson Chris posted on his FB feed, or will it be the plumeria my buddy Marilyn (Amanda Stevens) posted from her backyard? That painting would make a terrific abstract, whereas the cherry blossoms lends itself to something more realistic. Still,, it could be an abstract, too. Do you all like the abstracts? You seem to. Anyway, look for them in the near future.
