I'm in my Notes App Apology Era/Not an April Fool's Joke 💔

It breaks my heart to make this post… the time has come to close down Jini & Tonic.

The last (almost!) 6 years have brought me so much joy, but it is time for me to move on to a new season of life. As many of you know, I have started teaching science to middle schoolers through a residency program in Richmond, and I have to let go of some things that are keeping me from being fully present. Truthfully, I’ve been avoiding doing this for as long as I could. For the last year and a half, I’ve been trying to see if it would be possible for the best of both worlds to exist–it’s just not sustainable.

I have so many feelings about this (double Pisces, hello!). I am so grateful for the community that I have been welcomed to and to all of you for supporting me and my art through the years. There are some of you who have been there from the very beginning when I was in Chicago and this all started with a few pins and stickers. I am so thankful for our suppliers that have been able to bring my art across the US. I am so, so sad about closing.

Jini & Tonic allowed me to become a lot of who I am through my twenties. It supported me through so many highs and lows, across so many different adventures and fun projects. I’m hoping that by losing “& Tonic” I will learn more about who “Jini” is. Right now, she’s going by “Captain,” she’s engaged to the love of her life
