The Republic Community Band is an organization made up of musicians from all over the area, ranging from high school student to senior citizen and everyone in between! Many members are in professions outside of music but still want to play their instrument past high school or collage. Some of our members are also active or retired musicians or taught music. Our existence is purely for the love of
music and the enjoyment of our audiences! The Republic Community Band performs in numerous events throughout the city and neighboring communities. Some of those performances include our annual Fall, Christmas and Spring concerts, Walnut St. Arts Fest and Cider Days in Springfield, the Republic Fourth of July celebration, Freistatt Lions Club Picnic, Verona Lions Club picnic, the Bolivar fall festival, and Pumpkin Daze in Republic. Just come out to a rehearsal and sit in with your instrument! We have music ready to go for most instruments and always welcome new members. We meet every single Thursday during the year besides our break from mid-December to mid-February, or on holidays, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Rehearsals are held at the Republic Middle School band room on the west side of the building.
