New DJ Set is up!
This year was an extra special Bartledoo, as we held an unforgettable wedding ceremony for Bridges and Sydney. Perhaps the most memorable moment ever at Jimmytown was when the two love birds walked down that staircase together as golden hour approached. After some powerfully impactful words from the celebrant dude Blake Zahn, each member of the wedding party proceeded to play one track over House Party’s bumpin’ new sound system. Each contribution acted as a sonic tribute to the newlyweds. The vows were then exchanged over a pre-recorded track that I made custom for the ceremony - Bartledoo I Ever.
From the observers to the involved, the ceremony was so deeply emotional for all who were present. It was goofy, heartfelt, and inspiring all at the same time. As the feel-goods oozed and the tears rolled, we did not skip a beat as we transitioned into the two hour reception that would double as my annual sunset set. We carried high vibes and stoke from the ceremony and embarked upon a great cornerstone of the Bartledoo celebration: blissfully dancing to the dramatically orange sunset together. Once again, I was honored as all get-out to be in the driver’s seat for this journey to the deep!
Having the same set time, it was extremely important to me that I did not merely repeat the experience from the year prior. Although I stuck with the dreamy genre, I wanted the progression of the music to be energetic in a new and exciting way, especially because it would take place down on the epic Bartledoo Stage instead of the more intimate Garden Stage up top.
So join me as we ride this roller coaster of emotion through the sunset and into the night. First we’ll hatch, then we’ll flutter, we’ll dance, dance harder, take a nap and have some lucid dreams, then get pulled into a mysterious sidequest which takes us to the techno forest, and without fully knowing whether we are awake or still dreaming, emerge on the other side radiating love, and then we soar.
If you were not there for the experience, it is my hope that in listening, you can vicariously feel some of the giant love that we all shared that day. Maybe you’ll even join us for Bartledoo 5!

Huge thanks to Squid Kohut for capturing and mastering the audio. The set was recorded with additional ambient mics that give the recording “a deeper warmth from that unique Jimmy Town Dirt Mountain ground.” (-Squid).
Big tip of the hat to Jimmy Dirt for hosting the event and dedicating his summer to building the sound system.
A long and serious nod to the No Mash Crew, who came to Reno multiple times to help Jimmy build the speaker cabinets. Great groupa guys!
Giant appreciation to Sean Murray and Taylor Michael-Ray Bridges, who both stepped up big time to get the new sound system ready on site.
And hats off to David Marshall Flemming for the photo.
