Ryan's Run Raising $$ for Butler County Special Olympics in memory of Ryan Burgoon. Ryan’s Run is an auction/raffle charity event done in memory of Ryan Burgoon.

The Butler County Special Olympics (BCSO) program is feeling the effects of the lagging economy, and we need your help in keeping them funded so they can continue to provide athletic opportunities to so many of the area’s mentally and physically challenged residents. Ryan benefitted greatly from the programs and volunteers of the BCSO before passing away in the spring of 2012, and we created the e

vent in honor of him to try to give back to such a great program in a meaningful way. 100% of the proceeds from Ryan’s Run are donated to BCSO program, where they can be used to purchase much-needed equipment and help keep a great program running strong. This year’s event will be held on April 8th, 2017 . The party that includes food, drink and live entertainment. Monetary donations can be made out to “Ryan's Run Fund" and can be sent to:

Good morning!

We hope this message finds you healthy and happy in these trying times. Due to the ongoing issues surrounding COVID-19, we have decided to CANCEL Ales For Athletes 2020. We will be back in 2021 on APRIL 10TH, bigger and better than ever!

I will be manually issuing refunds through Eventbrite today and tomorrow.

As Ales For Athletes is the primary fundraiser for Butler County (PA) Special Olympics, any monetary donation to help the organization through 2020 would be greatly appreciated. If this is something you are interested in doing, please make check payable to Butler County Special Olympics and send them to:

Please consider donating a basket for the raffle at Ales For Athletes 2020. This event is forever closest to my heart. Lee and I conceptualized Ryan's Run in honor of her brother Ryan who benefited from the incredible volunteer-based services provided by Special Olympics throughout his life. I've attached the eulogy I wrote for Ryan, which provides a glimpse into what he meant to so many people. Please share, and help us continue to honor him by supporting Ryan's Run and Ales For Athletes. Every dime goes to support Special Olympics PA Butler County.

Ryan's Run has always had an incredible basket raffle, and we need your help to keep it going. Baskets (of any theme) may be dropped off at any of the Helping Butler County Community Partner locations (image in the comments) or contact us and we'll come pick it up. Please encourage your workplace to chip in with a basket or a donation, and consider joining in with a couple of friends to help put one together if you can.

And if you haven't gotten your tickets yet, get them soon!!!
