Dandylion Eggs

Dandylion Eggs Welcome! I have been making pysanky since around 1999. I enjoy making traditional and contemporary batik eggs.

My mission is to spread beautiful pysanky across the whole world! Also known as “Pysanky” or Ukrainian Eggs, batik eggs are an ancient art form still practiced today. These are done in the traditional way of using beeswax and dye in a wax resistant process, or batik-like process, on blown eggs. The whole process takes many hours to complete, the total time depending on the intricacy of the design.

The symbols and colors decorating the eggs have special meanings, and can often mean many different things. I taught myself to make pysanky in 1999 and have been hooked ever since! I began selling them on Ebay and in 2007 I opened my Etsy shop and have been selling on Etsy and at local bazaars and craft shows ever since.
