Had to make sure to reshare my little beach princess before the summer’s over 🥰 this was painted last year just after her first birthday. One of these days I’ll find the time to paint one for her second birthday, but it’s so hard picking out just ONE reference photo that really captures her this year. If I don’t keep up with it though I’m going to regret it so I’ve gotta pick something out soon and just get started 😌

I hid a surprise on the Costa Rica painting… 🤭

Painting at night in the rainforest is no joke. My couple’s lovely reception on a covered terrace, and the venue had done a wonderful job of crafting a beautifully low-lit setting.

Unfortunately as the sun went down, my painting light became a beacon of hope for rainforest bugs of all sizes 😅
When the FOURTH cicada landed in my paint in a span of 20 minutes, I knew they needed to be memorialized somehow. 🪰

Biggest thanks to my husband for taking care of business, truly couldn’t have done it without you 😂

(The couple was SO surprised and they loved it, because they are awesome 😂)

Over here gearing up for a busy and beautiful June with 6 weddings!! Going to be witnessing so much love, covering over 3,000sq.in. of canvas, and working naps & bedtimes in studio on spring touchups!
You can also catch me spending lots of mornings at the park and evenings in the yard, enjoying the summer with my mini 🥰

These two little cousins just made my heart smile every time I sat down at the easel. I absolutely love kids portraits, especially since becoming a mom, and am hoping to free up some time to do more of them in the coming years 🥰
