The Red Bank Theatre for Young Audiences is on a mission to provide affordable, quality theatre for local children and families as well as to provide opportunities for young performers and technical staff to give back to the community through producing live theatre. YOU are a part of the success, and we celebrate you! With your help, since December of 2022 we have produced 4 shows:
Tinker Bell
Alice in Wonderland
Cinderella
Enchanted Cabaret
And impacted thousands of people:
50+/- teens impacted by the free opportunity to create live theatre
1000+/- children and parents treated to children’s theatre for a give-what-you-can donation
1 free professional workshop for teens
4 free theatre workshops for children
What makes us special.
• RBTYA shows are offered to the community at a ‘give-what-you-can’ rate.
• Youth participants in the shows and workshops are not charged a fee.
• RBTYA builds confidence, empathy, self-awareness and promotes giving back to the community.
Our proposed 2024 / 2025 performance season is as follows:
• Our fall show will be Charlie Brown & the Great Pumpkin, with performances on November 1&2. This show follows Charlie, Lucy, Sally and others as they celebrate Halloween, while Linus forgoes celebrations to wait in a pumpkin patch for the mythical Great Pumpkin.
• Our spring show is slated to be the Delia Ephron musical, How to Eat Like a Child, a hilarious musical romp through the joys and sorrows of being a child.
