Our community’s greatest strength is coming together to help those in need. Please consider donating to the Food Pantry if you can. ❤️
We received this note with a donation this week and we couldn't have said it better. The Reading community has made it clear this week that they believe this, too. We have been so humbled by the outpouring of support—in so many forms—that we've received in preparation to help our Reading neighbors affected by loss of funding to the SNAP program. If you or someone you know needs help with food this month or any other time, please come visit us, our shelves are well stocked and we are here to help!
We are located at 6 Salem Street and our door is in the back parking lot of the Old South United Methodist Church. We are open Monday nights from 6:30 to 7:30 and Friday mornings from 10:30 to 11:30 to neighbors needing assistance with food/household goods. You only need to be a resident of Reading and you will receive food on your first visit. We hope to see you soon!

For your convenience, please click this link to our Amazon wish list and your donations will be sent directly to our door: https://www.amazon.com/baby-reg/readingfood-pantry-august-2025-reading/2IAL6UP0JI3WF
We are open every Wednesday for donation drop-off from 4:30 PM to 6 PM at 6 Salem Street.
We have donation bins at Market Basket and Stop & Shop if you choose to donate as your shop.
The most needed donation right now is a grocery store gift card. We are anticipating a need to purchase extra eggs, milk, cheese, meat and other cold/frozen foods, so gift cards are essential in order to keep these items stocked.
Thank you for your generosity!
