We wish our Muslim brothers and sisters a Eid al-Adha Mubarak!
This year's celebration begins the evening of July 8.
During this celebration, Islamic faithful around the globe
commemorate the test of Abraham, asked by God to sacrifice
his son. This is very similar to the account in the Judeo-Christian scriptures.
Eid al-Adha is celebrated during the annual Holy Pilgrimage of Hajj,
in which thousands of Muslims travel to the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia
to worship in the Ka'bah, the most sacred site in Islam.
Eid Mubarak!
