When my father-in-law said that, my husband got angry and told him not to talk that way but he continued so I got angry and told him to shut his mouth. And he asked me, laughing, if it was a lie that I was a girl desperate to hook up with a rich old man. And I yelled at him, telling him that it wasn't his damn problem if I married his son for money, that in fact I started dating him because I was interested in his money, but that if my husband doesn't care, they should shut their mouths.

I’ve hit a point where I had enough recently as she asked for assistance in wiping after #2. PLEASE NOTE, she has always been able to do this. I have vented to my wife (F 53) and she thinks I’m being cruel. I told my wife that I feel the behavior our daughter is presenting is weaponized incompetence. I (23F) live alone in a small 2-bedroom. I love having my space after horrible roommates. A coworker (25F) fought with her roommates and got kicked out. I sent her listings, trying to be helpful, but she texted me: “Can I crash with you for a few weeks? You live alone and have the space!” Immediate sinking feeling. I (31F), 3 months pregnant, CRAVING steak and potatoes DAILY. Hubby knows the menu. I make separate meals for my weird needs. Last night, same deal. Pizza spaghetti for them, steak for me. After serving everyone, I sat down when my husband shot me a venomous glare and announced he wanted steak too. I explained it was all I had and that I am eating for two and still feel hungry afterward. He could have seconds of his meal. I'm in a blended family. My dad married my step-sister's mom last year, and we all get along great. Her bio-dad is super rich and spoils her with clothes, makeup, electronics, and a new car. I was divorced years ago because my ex coddled our son. She fought me for custody so I only got visitation. He refused to do homework at my place & she'd always take his side. We remarried & had two more kids. My son stopped visiting at 14. Now child support ended. He called, wanting money because his mom cut off his allowance. I told him to get a job. He's an adult! AITA for getting a family friend to explain to my kids why I'm always with their sister?
