I am a planner. Right down to the very minute if I could. I happen to be married to a "let's wing it" man. When I discovered AND embraced that, it was a game changer! It really was. Don't get me wrong, he does make plans from time to time but if we could just go and figure it out, that would be fine with him.

We don't have many "plans" for this weekend but HE planned a date night AND got tickets!!!

Not, that I have to remind all of you party people but just thought I would share this .... have fun tis weekend! Let's begin this year on a high note in spite of.

Make your fun in your own home but just make it!

Enjoy everyone AND be safe!

➕We need two more couples to play the "mini version" of the game. Pick your time: 7 - 7:30 or 7:30 - 8pm.

➕The Host will ask questions to see how much you know... or don't know about your spouse. This is a virtual game so you will be in the comfort of your home.

Wanna play? ... DM me for more details!

💖 I shared this in an email today so in case you are not on my list (and why not?!), I'm sharing it here:

In this busy season of love and family, I just wanted to share two quick things with you.

Please make sure you stop to savor and appreciate the moments with your love ones. Sometimes we can get so caught up in wrapping gifts, cooking food and making sure the decorations are pretty, we loose sight of the precious moments that are being shared. Take notice of the small things. I know we have to be careful because of the pandemic, but if it's safe, hug more, kiss more, touch more. Take lots of pictures. Play games, enjoy the taste of the food and the smells. Look into the eyes of your love ones and really appreciate their spirit. In other words, be intentional about how you love and receive love. We all know that tomorrow is not promised so make every minute mean something for you and others.

The other thing I wanted to share is "be the gift". Not just to your family and friends, but be the gift everyday to someone you don't know. You are the gift when you share a smile, a compliment, or a small gesture of unexpected kindness. This has been an amazing year for me as far as giving. I have been blessed to be in a place where I received a LOT of stuff! I allowed it to pass through my hands to others; friends and strangers. For example, I was given a bunch of Burts Bee's lip balm. I shared it with friends who then shared it with others and that felt good. What I also did was bring a bunch with me every time I traveled by plane. I gave some to the ticket agents and the flight attendants. I simply handed some to the one who greeted me on the plane and asked them to share with their crew and thanked them for their service. I'm telling you they acted like they hit the lottery! They were so very appreciative. They found where I was sitting and said a special "thank you". Some even took the time to use my name! I really didn't do it for that reason and really wanted to keep it low key but I understood them saying "thank you". I know it brightened their day and that's all I wanted to do.

A few years ago I promised to give someone a compliment everyday and so I still do that. I will say something about an outfit, hairstyle, their unique name, etc. People remember that. They may not remember my name, but they will remember how I made them feel. I challenge you to do the same. Be the gift to someone daily, be the gift to your spouse, daily and be the gift to your self daily. Can you just imagine if we all did this daily?! It will give you that good feeling inside your spirit that only you understand. It will create a better community for each of us.

My prayer for this season is that you experience peace, joy, and above all, love. Not just for this Christmas season, but for the rest of your life!

I guess you can call me a classic "rule follower". I'm the person that looks for the parameters and then starts there. I would say I follow them, but that would be untrue. I like having a starting point, but that doesn't mean that I'm going to stay there.

I like having rules because if and when things go south, I can go back to where things should have started. Rules help me to be on the same page with other people. Rules help me, and the other person, to not feel like the other is in control. Rules should make things fair, and I always like fair.

All of that is why I like this short list of RULES FOR ARGUING. This list can have so much more added to it but these five things are a good place to begin. Screenshot, print and clip, or memorize these rules for the next time you might need them. IMPORTANT - make sure that you and your spouse/partner are in agreement with the list and you both are following the rules. Bad things can happen if one is following the rules and the other is not.

RULES FOR ARGUING

1. No bringing up the past

2. No name calling

3. Raise your point without raising your voice

4. No arguing in front of kids or in public

5. Use words like "baby I'm sorry" and "how can we fix this"

What other rules would you add to this list? Let me know, I'd love to hear from you!

➕Healing is a journey – it can be messy, unpredictable, beautiful, and emotional. Give yourself patience and grace on this journey.

Minor and sometimes major, setbacks will happen. Bad days will happen. That doesn’t mean you haven’t made progress – it’s just a part of the healing journey.

You must do the work for any of this to apply to you. There are some things you can put in place to help you on this journey. One that I will mention today is support an accountability. Get your tribe (even if it’s a tribe of one) together. That person or couple that will be real and raw with you. The tribe that will share the love and hold you accountable. All while being transparent and careful about who you choose for this tribe.

Tri Team Unlimited can be or be a part of your tribe! We WANT to be that for you! It’s in our name. The “Tri” in our name is us, you, and God! That is the “Tri” in the Tri Team Unlimited. We surround you with prayer and resources and of course accountability. Give us a chance to show you how we will embrace you into our family, support you on this journey, and celebrate the milestones with you.

All of our workshops are 100% Money Back Guaranteed to make a change in your relationship. I fully back that because I know what we share works AND because we will have a chat before you register to make sure that our workshops are right for you. CLICK HERE TO SCHEDULE YOUR PRIVATE TIME WITH ME: https://calendly.com/triteamunlimited/30min

I look forward to speaking with you soon!

Our Unique Approach to Better Relationships

We provide opportunities for couples to come together on hot topics by learning tools that will enhance intimacy in a supportive small group setting. We serve couples in all stages of relationships that include pre-engaged, engaged, married couples, those who desire to enhance an already “good” relationship, those who desire better conflict resolution tools, those who desire more self awareness and a better connection with their partner, and those considering therapy but not ready for weekly appointments. We welcome people of all backgrounds, faiths, ages, and relationship arrangements.

Workshop topics include: Pre-marital Discovery, Self-Esteem, Emotional Intelligence, Blended Families, Romance & Intimacy, Navigating Conflict, Communication Skills, and our foundation workshop, the True Colors Personality Temperament.

Our skilled and passionate facilitators offer fun and engaging sessions to a group of less than ten couples in a home setting where everyone is made to feel “at home”. In addition to the very practical and useful tools, participants are treated to great meals, door prizes, and opportunities to build lasting accountability partners. There are also opportunities for continued connections, referrals to other resources, and multiple workshop discounts.
