Kraftwerk Plays ‘Spacelab’ With Help From Astronaut Alexander Gerst

On July 20th Alexander Gerst, 1 of the 6 human beings in space, plays 'Space Lab' with Kraftwerk from above in the most sophisticated "Man-Machine"
Kraftwerk (German:"power station") is a German band formed in Düsseldorf in 1970. Widely considered to be innovators and pioneers of electronic music, they were among the first successful acts to popularize the genre.

The performance was held at the Jazz Open Festival on Stuttgart’s Schlossplatz, and live from the International Space Station, where Gerst will live and work until mid-December 2018.

It’s hard not to be cynical in this day in age. Just know that there are still wonderful people devoting their entire lives for the future of humanity... We are all in this together no matter what genre of music you like or political stance. There is so much that needs to be done. In the meantime lets let diverse music thrive in our cultures and it allows it to resonate with future generations.
