October 20th is always a somber day around here. Hard to believe its been 48 years since the plane crash this year. I wanted to leave y'all with some happy news this year on 10/20 for once. Tuesday's Gone has been in rehearsals for awhile now with some new members and is sounding better than ever. We'll be seeing you out on the road again soon, my friends!

I teased awhile back that there may be some really cool news coming soon. A little while back I received a call from Artimus Pyle...the last surviving member of the original Skynyrd. He asked if I'd be available and/or interested in being the frontman for APB if they needed me. My response was "is that really a question!?". Of course I couldn't say anything, and so I waited in anticipation for what seemed like an eternity. In the end, the position was given to someone who I've admired for quite some time now, Bo Bice. It was Bo appearing on American Idol back in the day that convinced me that "our kind" may actually stand a fighting chance on that show, so I auditioned twice because of him. The gig couldn't have went to a better artist and they're gonna be great...y'all be sure to go see them when you can. They also just took on Barry Lee Harwood. I shouldn't even have to explain who he is to real Skynyrd fans. It's gonna be one helluva lineup. I'm disappointed obviously, but humbled and appreciative that I even got a call. To know that I was one of only a very few means a lot to me, and I can be proud of that. In the meantime, Artimus has offered for him and his guitarists to join forces with me and my rhythm section to recreate a monster version of Tuesday's Gone, which will likely happen. If and when it does, we'll play some select shows here and there as a kind of novelty/specialty kinda band, and it should be a good time for us and everyone else as well. Hopefully that'll all come together soon. Happy Saturday friends....

Here's my third crack at making another music video to go with one of my newest original recordings, a tune called "Over Again". Hope ya dig it.... I think the song is very relatable and more people have been there than not. The video gives a kind of glimpse into where I actually do most of my recording, and how I record each instrument myself one at a time. It's certainly not the fanciest of digs, but it's not all glitz and glamour. I get the job done. If you dig it, please do share it, and make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel if you haven't already. They always drop first on there! I appreciate any feedback you care to give. I do feel like my upcoming album will be the best I've put out there thus far....I'm biased, but I am really loving the overall sound and the songs seem strong to me. What say you???
