A little bit about Orquesta K’che!
——————————————————
Located in the Triangle area of North Carolina since 2008, Billy Marrero (Percussion / Band Leader) has established “Salsawiz Productions.” Billy has taken on the task of putting together various music groups and projects by founding “Orquesta K’che” in 2010 and continuing to do so with, “Jazziando Latin Jazz”, “Grupo Caribe Vibe” and most recently “Conjunto Caribe.” They are very excited that all of our lineups are making their mark in the local music scene, “We are all about the dancing public, bringing them a mix of Salsa, Cumbia, Merengue, Latin Jazz and Bolero.”

Salsa at the Park is made possible by the generous support from our 2026 sponsors: Town of Knightdale (Knightdale, NC), Knightdale Parks (KdaleParks), United Arts Wake County (United Arts Wake County), and El Mandado Supermarket (El Mandado Supermarket)!!

Janayra is a dancer, instructor, and member of the Raleigh Latin dance community, representing La Luz Dance Co. She is passionate about creating welcoming spaces where dancers can learn, connect, and grow together. La Luz Dance Co. is a Latin dance company and studio located in Downtown Raleigh, offering Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Heels, Cumbia, private lessons, progressive dance series, workshops, socials, and special events.

Julian Ruffin has been dancing for over a year and has quickly developed a deep passion for Salsa, particularly New York-style On2. His love for the music, movement, and culture inspired him to create Mambo Mondays, a social focused on bringing dancers together around Mambo and the On2 Salsa community.

Through Mambo Mondays, Julian hopes to create a space where dancers can enjoy the music, sharpen their skills, meet new people, and build community around this style of dance.
