What a wonderful evening at the Racine Theatre Guild’s End of Year Banquet 2025-2026, celebrating an incredible 88th season!

I was honored to attend not only as a member of the RTG Board of Directors, but also as UCA Ms. Heartland 2026, championing my platform Art For All: Healing Through Creativity.

To every volunteer who has poured your time, talent, and heart into RTG over the years — thank you. You are the soul of this theatre. And congratulations to all of the award recipients! Your dedication and artistry set the stage for excellence.

Theatre is more than performance; it’s a vital part of the arts that heals, connects, and transforms. I’m proud to be part of the RTG family because the arts have profoundly shaped my life, opening doors to connection, growth, and opportunities I carry with me every day.

Exciting things ahead for RTG’s 89th season — stay tuned! And as always, I’m committed to expanding access to the arts through my work with the Black Arts Council of Racine and Art By April Unlimited

Today we honor freedom delayed but not denied. On June 19, 1865, the last enslaved people in Texas learned they were free — and that spirit of resilience lives on in our art.

We celebrate through creativity. Our music, poetry, and culture turn struggle into strength and dreams into legacy.
