Xsilk

Xsilk Indie label from Brooklyn workshop creating garments and fiber based art and design works. Natural dyes and traditional textile methods are used.

Xsilk is an Independent brand launched by a design workshop located New York, United States. We create unique garments and fiber based artworks using traditional dyeing methods. Our products are offered through our online shop(www.etsy.xsilk.com) and also in boutiques in US & Australia. We also offer one-to-one instruction services to those who wish to learn about natural dyeing. We strive to mak

e functional and beautiful products with low impact to the environment by championing "slow-fashion" processes and methods. By incorporating traditional methods such as using natural dyes and Japanese indigo dye methods, we are able to produce solids and patterned textiles with contemporary edge. Xsilk studio also offers one-on-one instructional workshops for those who wants to learn about natural dyeing. It is a place where works are made, products are born and a place for experimentations and brainstormings. Our studio is also a place for collaborative projects between artisans, designers and artists. We are always to in lookout for possibility of brilliant ideas and honed skills to come together to make something beautiful and useful. All of our dyeing, designing and tailoring are done locally, here in Brooklyn, NY. Xsilk workshop is located in Brooklyn, NY. It was founded by Dani Song-Kishino in 2011.

Celebrating Chusoek #추석 Korean Thanksgiving Day. Giving Thanks to the bountiful season. Lighting an incense, offering homemade food and liquor in remembrance of those who came before you. Coloful rice cakes with sweet fillings epitomized fruits of agricultural labor. #송편
