Soroptimist International of Solanco The name Soroptimist means "best for women" and that's what the organization strives to achieve.

Soroptimist is an international organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world. Soroptimists are women at their best, working to help other women to be their best.

SI Solanco was established in 1971 and is home to members residing in the Southern Chester and Southern Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and surrounding areas.

General information

SI Solanco supports many local organizations and events. Some of our key projects include Domestic Violence Services of Lancaster County and Lancaster County Children's Alliance. We also offer several scholarship opportunities to young girls and women. The following scholarships are awarded each spring: Women's Opportunity Award, Violet Richardson Award and the Young Women's Achievement Award. Our club meets for a dinner party the 2nd Tuesday of each month, at Gallery Grill in Quarryville, PA. Dinner is served at 6:30.
