has a great workshop coming up on February 21st in Provo Utah. Sign up through their bio.
Artistic Industries/ Utah Center for the Ceramic Arts will be hosting an upcoming makers workshop featuring Mikey Silva (.not.here) and Cruz Quintero (), centered on their ceramic process and material decisions. During the workshop, both artists will walk through how they make their work, from forming to firing. Mikey Silva works primarily with slip casting and alteration, firing his pieces at a low temperature with vibrant engobe finishes. Cruz Quintero wheel throws and alters his forms, soda firing his work at high temperature. While their methods differ, the workshop will focus on how these choices shape the finished work and influence each artist’s approach to clay. The goal is to open up a conversation around process, experimentation, and the ways different paths in ceramics can exist side by side. Sign up on our website. To create with Cruz & Mikey or just observe.
