Join Us for Our Final Concert of the Year!
Tomorrow, Thursday October 9th, 2025, we invite you to a truly special evening with Kora virtuoso Yacouba Diabaté, performing original compositions from his remarkable 30-year repertoire, created across Burkina Faso and the United States.
This marks our last concert of the year, and we are filled with gratitude for what has been an extraordinary season of music, film, and arts from Africa and around the world—including right here in the U.S.
In 2025, PVD World Music proudly presented more than 21 events, showcasing traditions as diverse as the people of the world, and hosting our signature five-day African Film & Art Festival. None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of audiences from Providence, across New England, and beyond.
In times when despair and uncertainty weigh heavily on humanity, music and art remind us of our shared spirit and resilience. They are more essential now than ever.
As we close this year, we also reaffirm our mission: to promote, celebrate, and enrich music and arts traditions as diverse as the people of the world, rooted in our African and refugee immigrant communities here in Providence.
