New improv classes beginning soon!

Thinking improv looks fun and wondering if you can do it?
You can!!

I'm teaching a free, introductory drop in class tomorrow night, Tuesday, 5:30-7:00pm at Roeland Park Community Center with Johnson County Parks and Rec 50+ Program.

And then a 10-week class June 2-July 29th.

I'd love to have to have you join us!

You can't plan what happens next in a scene.
Improv makes you be in the moment. Turns out that's kind of the whole point.

Improv theater is unscripted collaborative storytelling. This interactive class utilizes improv activities in a therapeutic, fun and meaningful way to create connection through laughter and storytelling. No theater experience is necessary.

It is well-documented that laughter is good medicine with numerous mental,
emotional and physical benefits and that social connection and engagement
increases longevity.

Improv has many researched benefits: improved listening, empathy, adaptability and flexibility, increased trust, support and spontaneity. It enhances communication skills by activating language and creativity centers in the brain and promotes memory skills. Improv helps decrease stress, anxiety and uncertainty intolerance and it increases confidence and problem solving. And ... it’s fun!
