Today is a big day for our film festival. Notifications are sent to all 121 submissions. We are accepting 53 this year.

While 53 film crews are receiving good news today, 68 are understandably disappointed with the results. There are many factors that play into a small festival like ours. We do our best to give each film the attention and consideration it deserves for every season.

Please know that just because your film didn't get into PFF this year doesn't mean it won't find a home at a different festival or that it isn't worthy of a live audience!

Lastly, thank you to everyone who submitted to the Poulsbo Film Festival this year! We're here because of our filmmakers and the stories they tell.

2026 Venue Update from the Poulsbo Film Festival!

It goes without saying that we've immensely enjoyed the last four years of being in Historic Downtown Poulsbo and we're so grateful to everyone who helped shape and mold what the festival is today thanks in part to all of the unique and memorable venues.

Past locations include: Western Red Brewing, Moe's on Liberty Bay, Griffin Gallery NW, The Loft at latitude 47.7 Poulsbo, Dalla Baia, State 42 Wines, Details Wine Bar, Poulsbo Sons of Norway, and the SEA Discovery Center.

We also want to give Denver and Marianna Smyth from Western Red Brewing a big shout out for believing in our event and often donating their space to the festival. This was so crucial in our earlier years. Thank you!

While this year has been a challenge to figure out a home for the festival, we are incredibly excited to announce our partnership with the Poulsbo Regal Cinema off of Viking Way NW to help celebrate our fifth season! We will be located in Auditorium 1 with 126 comfortable seats for our guests. Yahoo!

Calling all filmmakers! The final day to submit your film to the 5th Annual Poulsbo Film Festival is June 8th. Films can be submitted through Film Freeway.

Thank you to everyone who attended this event at the Port Gamble Theater. We had 100 total attendees! We're incredibly grateful for the community support and can't say thank you enough to Brad and everyone at the Port Gamble Theater for hosting and sponsoring the event!

Audience Award ($750): "Ducks in a Row" directed by Cade Feldmeier and produced by Josh Glaser

Juried Award ($2k): "Diplopia" directed by Sky McKay and produced/starring Shane Standard

Join us for the Poulsbo 47.7 Hour Film Challenge screening on Sunday, April 26th at 5pm, located at the Port Gamble Theater!

Four brave film crews accepted the challenge to make a short film in only 47.7 hours during the weekend of April 10-12, and now we get to watch their creations on April 26th at the Historic Port Gamble Theater!

The first-place winner will receive a $2,000 contract with the Peninsula Film Commission and the Poulsbo Film Festival Foundation to produce a cinematic sizzle reel to help promote filmmaking in the Kitsap and Olympic Peninsulas. The Audience Award will have a cash prize of $750!

Details to know about the event:

- Tickets are $12 each and can be purchased online via Zeffy
- Located at the Port Gamble Theater
- Doors will open at 5pm
- Program will begin at 6pm
- Runtime for the show will be 39 minutes
- Port Gamble Theater will have a bar with a variety of beverages and snacks
