Happy Official 1-Year Anniversary, Die Laughing, Inc.! 🎉

One year ago today (October 10, 2025), our IRS determination letter took effect and Die Laughing officially became a 501(c)(3) public charity. Coming the day after Lung Transplant Awareness Day, it feels exactly right.

Our mission is simple: We exist to raise awareness and funds for three pillars that matter most in this fight:
• Penn Medicine — the institute that will save my life. This is where the transplant happens and where the medical team gives people a second chance at breath.
• Foundation for Sarcoidosis (FSR) — the ones doing the critical research to understand, treat, and one day cure the disease that scarred my lungs and put so many others on this path.
• Lung Transplant Foundation — the organization that represents the procedure itself: supporting patients and families, funding research to improve long-term outcomes (especially against rejection), and advocating for everyone navigating the transplant journey.
We raise that awareness and those funds the only way we know how — through comedy. Open mics, showcase shows, laughter in rooms across Pottstown and beyond. Because when life hands you failing lungs, you don’t just wait. You Die Laughing.
Thank you to everyone who has shown up, donated, performed, shared, or simply believed in this over the past year. Year one was about building the foundation. Year two is about turning more laughs into more impact for patients, research, and the transplant community.
