Oh, Marcellus! ❤️

I spent SO much time bringing this guy to life, and I have to say, watching him leave was a little bittersweet! 🥹

What an incredibly fun project from start to finish! I poured so much love, time, and creativity into him, and I truly hope he brings as much joy to Mystic Aquarium and all its visitors as he brought to me while creating him.

Go make people smile, Marcellus! 💙🐙

Soooo, what should I pour… I mean PAINT next?! 😂

Coffee? Cocktails? Something bubbly?

🍊 PULP COUTURE! 🍊

I’m just so excited I was able to finish this fun little piece just in time for the Broadway Street Fair! !

I mean, an orange on plaid?! How fun is that?! 🍊🧡

There’s just something about this one that makes me smile! It’s so fresh, lively, crisp, a little unexpected, and just plain yummy!

And of course, a little bit fancy… because why shouldn’t an orange be couture?! 😂

I hope you guys love this one as much as I do! 🧡🎨

A friend asked me today if I'm still disciplined about going to the gym and I honestly didn’t know how to answer.

Because at this point, it doesn’t really feel like discipline.

Of course there are days I don’t want to go, but weirdly those almost always end up being my best workouts… and exactly what I needed mentally.

So now when I don’t want to go, I almost get excited. Crazy, right? 😂

Maybe what comes after discipline is simply identity.

You’re not trying to become the person who shows up.

You just ARE her. ❤️

This one was a first for me. ❤️

A client reached out and asked if I could create a piece for her good friend, an author Deb Curtis , based on the vision that inspired her to write her book Laws of Love and Logic.

The twist? There was no photo to work from. Just her words and her vision.

So for the first time, I created a mock-up from a story, then brought it to life in paint.

This is what she wrote in the foreword of her book…
"Then something weird happened. I had a vision; I saw a scene in my mind’s eye. It was a woman with her hands in her pockets, on a dock. I heard the sounds one might hear at a marina—a gull squawking, halyards clanging against a mast, water lapping against the hull of a boat. I knew it wasn’t me. While I had grown up around marinas, I hadn’t spent much time at one since my father had died over thirty years ago. The vision would reveal itself to be about Lily, my novel’s protagonist."

And this is the piece it inspired. 🎨❤️

Originals. Prints. JABs.
Basically, joy in whatever size your walls can handle. 🎨❤️

Come check them out this Saturday at the Broadway Street Fair! in Newport… along with 200+ other amazing artists & vendors. Make a day of it! 🙌🏼
