DOCUMENTING FANTASY, hosted by Kelly Hughes, is a practical, no-nonsense workshop designed to help you transform your passion for fandom—whether it’s horror films, cosplay, collectibles, comics, or underground subcultures—into a documentary film, YouTube series, or podcast. You’ll learn how to narrow your focus into a powerful niche, decide which format best fits your idea, and build a simple, actionable production plan. Through guided exercises and take-home worksheets, you’ll leave with a fully developed concept, your first episodes or scenes mapped out, and a 7-day action plan to get your project off the ground. This workshop cuts through the noise and shows you how to actually start.

As the Historical Conjurer, Professor DR Schreiber evokes the spirit of early magical performances. He leads you on a stroll through the past centuries of conjuring entertainment. He is a member of the Academy of Magic Arts (Magic Castle) and member of the Society of American Magicians Portland Assembly. In 2011, Professor DR Schreiber won the Stan Kramien Excellence in Stage Magic Award. He is a former cast member at Disneyland and frequent emcee, magic historian and historical re-enactor.
