I have come to really enjoy throwing off the hump. One can really get into a wonderful rhythm of throwing without having to pause to recenter a new lump of clay. It’s a wonderful way to spend a rainy afternoon in Portland.

In this video demonstrate throwing bowls off the hump for my raku firing process. It’s imperative that I throw and trim walls and bottom with even thickness, otherwise they won’t survive the intense process I put them through.
