Another spectacular PTF season comes to close.

Three plays. Three extraordinary casts and crews. Three rooms full of people willing to show up, lean in, and let the work resonate. We are so deeply grateful.

This season asked hard questions — about the forces that shape us, the monsters we live alongside, the truths we’re afraid to speak. And night after night, you came ready to sit with those questions. That’s not nothing.

From the fierce, intimate world of THE MONSTER — to the luminous, breathtaking voices of OCTET — to the searing, urgent confrontation of AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE — this summer gave us moments we will carry for a long time. The performances were extraordinary, and so were the audiences.

To every artist who brought their full self to this work: thank you. To our partners at Portland Stage Company, the Maine Irish Heritage Center, and the brand-new Crewe Center for the Arts at USM: thank you.

And to every single person who bought a ticket, brought a friend, joined a waitlist: this is yours as much as ours.

We’ll see you next summer.

As Enemy of the People enters its third consecutive sold-out weekend, we’ve added a limited number of new seats to each remaining performance to try to accommodate demand.

🕐 And that’s our time.

To say OCTET closes on a high note would be the understatement of the summer.

Not only did PTF’s first musical leave audiences stunned throughout its completely sold-out run, it now owns the distinction of our most successful show to date.

If you were one of those who ventured into the basement of the Maine Irish Heritage Center to see OCTET—and especially if you came more than once—thank you. You proved yet again that Portland is hungry for theater that challenges and asks us to examine ourselves as well as it entertains.

For all its apparent simplicity—eight voices, no instruments—this play was in fact quite daunting in its ex*****on. And we couldn’t be prouder of the community of theater makers who pulled it off with resounding success. This phenomenal cast was no accident, nor were the artists and technicians behind the scenes knitting it all together.

Thank you again to the maineirishheritagecenter for sharing our vision of how this insightful, timely play should be staged.
