You should never pick a trillium. Here's why:

1. It takes 9 years after germination for a trillium to flower.
2. Each flower yields only ONE seed pod each year.
3. Each plant can live up to 25 years, and gains all of its nourishment for the remainder of the year during the spring when its leaves are present.
4. Trillium are propagated by ANTS. Not bees, the wind, or birds. The seeds are covered by a sweet coating which entices the ants to carry seeds underground into their colonies. After eating the coating, the seed germinates in the perfect subterranean environment.

Every trillium in the forest is essentially a little miracle...

Hey Port Orford- Tasty Kate's has Hummingbird kombucha on tap- it’s so good with black cherry, chamomile and stinging nettle- tasty, probiotic and organic! Hummingbird kombucha is stocked at Tasty Kate’s this week- on tap! With Spring in the air, Humminbird is perfect to help with allergies or just enjoy it as an anytime drink. Refreshing and lively with black cherry, German and Polish Chamomile and Stinging Nettle, it’s been a long time favorite. Oh and I’m working on a fresh new look- I hope you like it!

Tasty Kate's has Mango Ginger and Hummingbird Kombucha- Hummingbird is a delightful blend of black cherry, chamomile and stinging nettle. She also has two of my very best tinctures! Stinging Nettle- great for allergies (they are coming y’all! ) inflammation and more and Usnea- Natires Lungs- amazing for the bronchials and a fantastic immune boost when you need it.
