Think you’ve got what it takes to be the fastest crab picker in Port Angeles?

Join us for the Crab Pickin' Competition happening Saturday, October 11th at the Gateway Center during CrabFest!

We’ll have two divisions — Kids and Adults — and the rules are simple:
🦀Pick as much crab meat as you can (by weight) in a limited amount of time.
🦀Whoever ends up with the heaviest pile of crab… WINS CASH! 💵

It’s fast, it’s fun, and it’s full of claws-out competition! So grab your crew, bring your best crab-picking skills, and let’s see who can shell-ebrate victory this year!

TRIBU2 - U2 tribute pays homage to one of the greatest bands of all time. They perform tracks from the early BOY days, the incomparable/legendary JOSHUA TREE and ACHTUNG BABY chart toppers, and right up through their most recent releases. Our Concerts on the Pier Series presented by Strait View Credit Union continues this Wednesday, August 6th, with Daring Greatly 🎸

DARING GREATLY is a harmony-driven rock band originally from Calgary, Alberta, now based in Southern California. Blending classic 70s rock with modern soul, folk, and country influences, the band is known for their powerful three-part vocal harmonies, heartfelt songwriting, and energetic live shows. The group consists of Patrick Croome (vocals, guitar), Liam Croome (vocals, keys), Brayden Tario (drums, vocals), Jeff Starkey (electric guitar), and Brendan Cutrer (bass).

Formed in 2015, Daring Greatly has built a loyal grassroots following through years of consistent touring across Canada and the U.S., sharing stages with acts like Bon Jovi, The Doobie Brothers, Sublime, Midland, and The Struts. They’ve also opened for Plain White T’s and performed at standout festivals including the Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival, MissionFest in San Juan Capistrano, and Wonderfront in San Diego.

Their latest EP, "Let It Ride" (2025), features five original tracks including “Trouble” and “Something Coming On,”showcasing the band’s evolution with themes of change, love, and personal freedom. All music is independently written, recorded, and produced—without the backing of a label or management team.

With four full-length albums and a fresh wave of music on the way, Daring Greatly continues to inspire fans to live boldly and authentically—staying true to their name.

Our Concerts on the Pier Series presented by Strait View Credit Union continues this Wednesday, July 30th, with The Sam Chase & The Untraditional 🎸

The Sam Chase & The Untraditional hails from San Francisco, California. This juggernaut of a band blends rock n roll with folk music while maintaining the sensibilities and attitudes that come from growing up on a healthy diet of punk rock.

​The leader of the band is The Sam Chase himself, a natural storyteller with a voice that sounds as if it has weathered many an epic tale. With boot stomping orchestration and lyrics that have been immortalized on the tattooed skin of their fans, The Sam Chase & The Untraditional doesn’t mess around.

They've been a Juan de Fuca Festival favorite for years, and now they'll be rocking the pier stage!
