33 yrs ago today.. evening candlelit ceremony.. the HOTTEST dang day of the year.

Good morning my fellow lake lovers and lake rats!!!
What's the mood of the lakes this morning? 🫶

I chose a classic for this one.

Champion doesn't get any more classic when it comes to sweatshirts. The brand speaks for itself. I kept this one subdued on a black sweatshirt. This is a personal photograph that I took when we were home visiting the lake celebrating my sister.

I did generate the bonfire and the three flares on the far shore. The color pops a bit more vivid. I've struggled for the perfect vibe.

I mean it's the Ring of fire. 🔥
Some people participate, some people don't. To me it's a more sacred time of the year. Laying all of the memories to rest and holding them close. Knowing that the lake is going to go quiet. As a young girl it was a very sad time because we knew we'd be closing everything up and going back to the city life of Corning. But after my parents moved up on the island full time of course it was just a time for reflection and knowing that the weekend warriors wouldn't be coming around so much.

Everything is ready to rest. A bittersweet time of year for sure. I left it on black because it looked like a window into a memory and I really liked that. I always put my designs typically on the back.

There are a couple 70's retro that I have kept on the front.

Some things I don't put a date on. Because I want them to be timeless. Like the lake itself. Memories don't really need anything set in stone.
Let them ripple like the waves on the shore.
