It’s interesting what direction life takes… Stay in Prayer, an international church with a lively worship style is meeting here at 4 on Sundays. And Victory Church, a Hispanic church is meeting here at 5 on Saturdays.

It doesn’t change our central mission, though, to record local artists and help them get their art out into the world!!!

Well, the big news is that now I own the building! Plans are afoot to have some kind of official opening after getting some maintenance and organizing done.

Accomodating the Haitian church has created some interesting problems. The biggest one was that I envisioned the monitors in the big room as primarily playback, or for small groups. But Haitians like their music LOUD and the bass to hit you in the chest.

So, a couple of subwoofers and a pair of 2100w RCF ART935 top boxes and yeah, we can hit 130 dB in that room. We can do your hip hop or punk show, no problem!

Why might you need a recording studio:
1. You've got a band and want to record your next hit single.
2. You've got a song and want to get it down as a demo, or to share with friends/church/band
3. You've got a podcast and want better quality, or at least to try out some better equipment to see what you might invest in.
4. You're doing voice-overs
5. You want to record a gift for a family member, or record them.
6. You'd like to understand better how musical equipment and recording works, maybe even take a class

We can record, mix, do remote recording at your place. We've got enough room for your ska band or even your orchestra. And a decent vocal booth for more isolated recording. If you've got a question or an idea, hit me up!

I talked to a few people and thought I should clarify what I mean by "open". We have the equipment set up and ready to go. We're comfortable with it and have the work flow mostly organized. So, Barking Dog is available for :
-Rehearsal space (house PA or yours, I can mix or you can)
-Live shows (although we have some limitations on things like alcohol).
-Tracking instruments and vocals, yours or ours, using your equipment or ours or some combination thereof
-Rental of high quality and vintage instruments/amps/effects
-I can engineer, and mix depending on how we're laying the tracks down (we have a largish format mixer that I'm comfortable using)
-Larry can engineer, produce and mix in the box
-Mastering is probably beyond us right now, but we have connections
-We can arrange to publish your music if you don't want to struggle with that

We are officially OPEN! Most of the early kinks worked out and ready to rock. If you want a practice space, to record, to have us mix or master or publish your stuff, or if you want a space to put on a performance, get ahold of me. My phone number is in the "Intro bar" of where you're reading this.
