❗️News Flash❗️This is my first sculpture, ‘Cinched’, created from woven metal fabric that I wove on my Flip rigid heddle loom! SO exciting! I used two 15 dent reeds and the wire was sett at 30 ends per inch. It was the first time I have woven with two rigid heddles at the same time, so that was also exciting! The beads on this piece are vintage copper, and fasten the loosely gathered woven metal into this soft, sculptural form. I have been saving these beads for decades, so finding a perfect use for them is so great. Weaving with wire is my passion, and finally my guild sister and I are starting to work on a course to teach folks how to weave with wire on the rigid heddle loom, so stay tuned! If you want to stay in the loop of this development, go to my online studio christinekmillercourses.com and sign up at the bottom of the page for updates.
