Draft Recap Day #4!

What an AMAZING final day! To cap off draft week, we were able to take the stage in the Draft Theater to help getting things started on Day 3! Such an incredible honor and once in a lifetime experience! It was incredible to get to see the backstage, inner workings of the draft production and how such a complex event is put together (and be a part of that process)!

That concludes draft week for the Steeline! It was a truly phenomenal experience and hard to find the words to truly describe.

We are grateful to our members for giving so much of their time and effort, the Steelers and the NFL for allowing us to represent them in so many fun and interesting ways, and to all of the various event planning companies and organizers who hired us on behalf of the draft to provide entertainment! We also are so incredibly grateful for the fans we’ve met. Everyone was so unbelievably kind and friendly. The draft here in Pittsburgh was definitely a happy event!

All in all, we ended up doing 9 separate performances over the course of 4 days at the North Shore, Point State Park, Downtown Pittsburgh, and Nemacolin Woodlands!

There will definitely be additional photos and videos from this week that we’ll receive over the next several days and weeks! We look forward to sharing that all out, as well! 😁

Draft Recap Day #3:

Another electrifying and inspiring day at the NFL Draft! Sometimes we have to stop, take a deep breath, and make sure what is happening is real!

We started off the day performing for Governor Josh Shapiro at a meet and greet event in Market Square promoting Pennsylvania. We shot some fun videos with the Governor to be used by the state Chamber of Commerce to encourage people to come visit our wonderful state! It was such a fun atmosphere and the city was already starting to come alive in anticipation of rounds 2 and 3 and all the amazing activities planned around the city for the day!

We followed that up with another mammoth 30 minute performance on the Steelers Country Stage at Point State Park. Crowds were even bigger there today! We met some cool people and had a great time performing for the home team fans! It was so nice having a Steelers-specific area of the draft installation. Really made us feel at home!

Finally, we made the journey to Fayette County in the evening to perform at Nemacolin Woodlands to perform at their Immaculate Reception Draft Celebration event at Gusto! Italian Restaurant! A fun evening with Steelers Legends, as well as the actual ball used during The Immaculate Reception!

A light-hearted and appreciative crowd, and we got to use our lights as we drummed as guests arrived and the sun set over the Laurel Highlands! As truly phenomenal as the city has been, it was nice to get away for a bit and play for a more intimate crowd amidst the amazing natural beauty of Nemacolin Woodlands! We had an awesome crew for this one, they hired nearly the entire Steeline to come drum for their celebration!

We’re all very tired 😂, so we’ll be resting up for one FINAL performance tomorrow! The highlight of the week: performing to OPEN the final day of the 2026 NFL Draft! We’ll be taking the stage in the Draft Theater to welcome everyone as they kick off round 4 and performing for hundreds of thousands of fans coming out and take in the final rounds!

Draft Recap Day #2!

We had a fantastic time performing at the Steelers Country installation at Point State Park! We met some cool people and had a blast playing for members of Steelers Nation from around the world!

We followed that up with the super unique Mascot Race for Visit PA, featuring a 40 yard dash with all of Pennsylvania’s prominent team mascots competing, including our own Steely McBeam, with special guest appearances by the likes of Pittsburgh Dad and Punxsutawney Phil!

We had a huge crew of drummers out for that one and performed for a great, lively crowd before the event followed by a full set after!

The city was absolutely amazing today! Pittsburgh is really, really shining in this magical draft week. Football fans everywhere, music everywhere, celebrations everywhere, life everywhere! People just seemed to be having such a great time and it’s so happy and positive! Everywhere we went we were greeted with smiling faces!

A big thanks to law enforcement, transit workers, event staff, first responders, and public works for keeping everyone safe and keeping the city and all its various activities running so smoothly. Everything is truly so nice downtown! Looking forward to another great day of draft drumming tomorrow back at Steelers Country and at Nemacolin Woodlands in the evening!

DRAFT RECAP Day #1!

A lot of people already in town for a lot of pre-draft festivities and we were right there in the thick of it!

We started off this morning performing at Acrisure Stadium for The Governor’s Tailgate, then headed back downtown to perform at Taste of the Draft, as well as for The Foundation: Honoring the Families Behind the Future at the August Wilson Center!

Tomorrow the Steeline has another full day! We’ll be at Steelers Country at Point State Park at 2:00 PM as well as the Visit PA Mascot Race at 4:00 PM. Hope to see you there!

As we embark on our 15th season (!) creating great memories for Steelers fans and representing the team and our city far and wide, we’re proud to invite any drummer age 18 or older who thinks they have what it takes to come try out! Happy Birthday to Steeline cymbal player Olivia Sieff!

Olivia is a 10 year Steeline member, a cymbal co-section leader, and an incredibly loyal and dedicated member. She’s well known as one of most dynamic and energetic performers, and seen frequently at events we do in the community beyond game day. We’re lucky to have her on our team! Have a great day, Olivia!
