Hello former Duquesne Marching Band and Pep Band members!!! I hope this message finds you well. My name is Allen Fry and I am the current assistant to the Pep Band. I have a few things I wanted to bring to your attention:
We are currently hosting a crowdfunding campaign. The goal of our campaign is to raise $5,000 or even more to help us purchase a new drum line and to build up the program again. As many of you are aware, the Marching Band was liquidated and reduced to a small under-equipped and underfunded Pep Band many years back. The good news is we are gradually building our numbers up and beginning to get more and more support from the university. A donation of any amount helps and is greatly appreciated. Alumni Participation! If you would like to come and play with the Pep Band at any home sporting event, we’d love to have you! The University has given us permission to allow outside and former members to come and play with us. If you are interested in doing this, please email the Pep Band at, [email protected] and we will get you all the information you need and send parts if you would like them in advance.
This page will most likely be merged with our current page, "Duquesne University Pep Band." All of the information on the page will be updated as well in the coming days. Unfortunately, we are not a marching band at the moment, but with all the support we are getting from the University and former members like you, it is looking like we could resurrect the DUMB in the coming years.
With your support, we can make the Pep Band, and one day the Marching Band, a force to be reckoned with in the Pittsburgh sports community.
