Being a divinator isn’t easy, and I really care about giving my clients a safe space to feel supported and cared for. Sessions with me are about empowerment and honoring capacity, but yeah, I do it through shuffling cards.

The love from my clients is a big reason why I chose to pursue becoming a therapist. On a nerdy note, I’m hopeful to research and share Pagan cultural competencies as well as best practices for integrating Astrology and cartomancy into my new field of clinical mental health counseling. 🥰

MAGIC & MEDICINE, BFFs FOREVER!

We did it, dudes. The power of modern healthcare and some mama magic is creating incredible outcomes for my lil danger baby who broke her humerus near the elbow last week.

My argument is consistent: modern science and ancient magic are NOT mutually exclusive but should be layered to create better, more holistic viewpoints and healing.

Without the xrays, we wouldn’t have known that Mora’s elbow joint was floating and may need surgery. Without a skilled pediatric orthopedic surgeon, we wouldn’t have a cast positioning the elbow to heal properly. But that’s where medicine left off.

To avoid surgery, I employed magical means to help close her elbow joint. I asked our friends and family to imagine the bones coming together to kiss. Then, I added this sigil magic: a simple Saturn symbol at the top of each bone that extended out in an arrow to meet at the elbow. In between, a little “butterfly kiss”.

With our powers combined, we got a thumbs up from the doctor! No pins needed and summer fun can continue. We are even getting a waterproof cast so swimming is still on the table!

Saturn rules the bones, so I’ll be making extra supplications for the Aquarius full moon tomorrow. Why? Because Saturn also rules Aquarius!

Anyone else having a contemplative summer?

Cancer is my 12th house ruler, so I expect things to take shadowy turns at the beginning of the season, but life just feels OFF. Maybe its mother nature screaming that we are allowing “climate boiling”, like the figurative frog in a pot.

I’m also in ANOTHER transitional period. Raising a human basically assures that at least the first five years are chaos incarnate but then add on a pandemic, inflation, environmental collapse and the rise of the robots, and I can recognize everyone reeling from the last few years.

I don’t want to keep pivoting. I don’t want to keep burning the candle at both ends, hoping something will catch. With that in mind, I’ve been using this summer to help me transition into a new space for 2024. It’s a little silly to think how I’ve already written off 2023 aside from slowing down and reorienting.

One area that I want to revisit is my idea for a subscription model where we can foster community around Astrology, Herbalism & Magic and offer new monthly art or readings. What do you think? Would you subscribe?
