“A Collection of Florets: A single hydrangea "bloom" is made up of numerous tiny individual flowers.

Most hydrangea clusters contain two types of florets:
1. Sterile Flowers: These are the showy, petal-like parts that catch your eye. They are primarily there to attract pollinators, but they do not produce seeds.
2. Fertile Flowers: These are the tiny, often inconspicuous flowers tucked within or among the showy sterile ones. They are the ones responsible for reproduction and seed production.”
