Meet Kristine aka “The Energerizer bunny or ” Co-owner at Vibe Vault Fit] , dance fitness instructor & choreographer.

How long have you been teaching dance fitness?

✨ I’ve been teaching fitness since I was 18 and haven’t stopped. I got more into dance fitness about 15 years ago.

What are you most passionate about?
✨ I love anything fitness related but also we can’t have dance without MUSIC. I call myself a music snob, lol and recently started to DJ and mix our own VIBE custom fitness mixes (you can preview and purchase at www.kristinecarroll.com,

Why do you teach Dance Fitness?
✨ I love teaching dance fitness the most because of the connection it brings among the participants and the watching them free them selves through movement. It’s an incredible things to see and feel! Its a way to stay healthy, be social and have fun while you get a good sweat on. I find it to be a stress relief and love to be there to help others feel the same as they explore their own healthy journey.

What certifications have you had over the years?
✨ Zumba (B1 & B2), Zumba Gold, Strong by Zumba, 305 Fitness, Pound Fit, Barre Above, PiYo, Turbokick, Step, AFAA Group Ex, Plyo Jam, Les Mills Body Step. I have also designed a few exclusive formats to Vibe Vault Fit] including Barre Pump, BEAT HIIT, Power Fusion, & Club Vibe.

What are your top 3 Choreo Creating Hacks!
✨ Make sure you pick songs you are connected to. If you are not, you will find it’s hard to choreo and be excited to teach them.

✨If you are having a choreo block, sometimes you need to step away and come back to it. You can always listen to the song a few more times and might get inspiration from another song you did previously. It’s always ok to recycle some of your moves and then just change the arm or something little to make it different.

✨ When choreographing a song, I get a pattern in my head but then realize maybe if I switch the movements I planned around in order, they actually might fit better if I’m feeling a little stuck finishing the choreo. Then all the sudden it clicks. Don’t be afraid to scratch something that doesn’t feel quite right.

Meet choreographer JEN ❤️‍🔥]

How long have you been teaching dance fitness?

✨ I’ve been dancing since I was a baby — almost 24 years, but have been teaching dance fitness for just over 7 years!

What are you most passionate about?

✨ Besides dancing, I have a passion for helping others achieve a healthy sense of self image, reframing the narrative on diet culture & redefining ideas of what true health & wellness is for the mind, body, & soul. That, iced coffee, & live concerts are what fuels me.

Dance fitness combines my passion for dance & choreography with my desire to work on my own health & fitness and share that with others. Dance fitness also expands to a wider audience than dance technique classes, so I get to meet people of all different walks of life and help brighten their day in an hour. Dance connects us in such a universally special way without even speaking a word. My favorite part is witnessing people finding their confidence in my class. Like, “wow, I helped them realize how amazing they really are!”

What are your top 3 Choreo Creating Hacks?

✨ Listen to the song you want to use over and over to get an idea of how it sounds. Then start to move around and see how your body reacts naturally to each part of the music. You’ll gravitate towards certain movements without even realizing it.

✨ Start with one part of your body. Get the feet moving the way you want them to, then you can add the arms to embellish the movement.

✨ Break the song into sections. Label them A, B, C, etc. Choreograph a move for each letter section. Use that same move each time that section of music happens in the song. Dance fitness choreo is different from choreographing for a dance technique / composition class. You don’t want to overcomplicate it. Keep it simple & when in doubt, take away an added element. Chances are when you do that, it will be the perfect level of difficulty for anyone — challenging but not discouraging.
