This piece was based off a dream a client of mine had . Will definitely say it was a great project to explore and learn how to give objects a surrealist look to them. It was nice to put myself in their shoes and experience the love and care they have for their loved one who is painted in the piece. It was a gift for the client’s partner so I hope she enjoyed it.

“Evening Meetup”

For those that follow my artwork, I wanted to paint a love piece that’s reflected my experiences and past works made while living in Maricopa. With the electrical box I painted “Evening Stroll” ( special thanks to those that helped fund and support this project) and “Boba Stroll”, a piece I made for my first time live painting at AZ center Phoenix Dirst Fridays earlier this year. Having it be Copa’s very first First Fridays, I wanted it to be special so I brought out the Traveling Trinket Box and community mural for everyone to paint on. Was definitely surprised to see how many residents there are based off the crazy amount of foot traffic! Am glad to be a part of such a historical experience!

Live Art piece for The Growth Spot Afrofuturism Fundraiser social

From doing live art for the The Growth Spot to seeing it on display ’s comics, this was a dope experience to be a part of!

For context, The Growth Spot is a non-profit owned by a group of brothers who bought 40 acres of land with a mission to build a future of agriculture, means of sustainability and rights of passage camps for youth to flourish. They had thrown a fundraiser social to help fund this mission and it was an amazing experience to witness community, growth and laughs shared this night.

After the event, I wondered where this piece would be displayed until I stopped by True’s bookstore the following week to purchase some gift books for Dad. Sure enough I got the cherry on top seeing it displayed at his shop! What a joy it is to see more of my work in spaces that matter and creatively help make a difference for the community. Thank you RHEALISM|QuestionConnoisseur™️ and Virtuoso Community Solutions for having me come paint the good words shared this night. Was grateful to be in the presence of goal-focused, like-minded individuals. 💜
