First national anthem down! Congrats on your first performance of the 2025-2026 school year at Thunderbird's Open House tonight, Vocal Ensemble!

This year, choir members have performed the national anthem at more than 50 Thunderbird home games across a variety of sports! Last night, senior Rachel Landsteiner and Sienna Meyer of Vocal Ensemble performed our last one of the year! See you next year!

🎶🎉 HUGE NEWS, THUNDERBIRD FAMILY! 🎉🎶

Our incredible Vocal Ensemble competed at the NAU Jazz/Madrigal Festival in Flagstaff this past Saturday, February 8th, and they absolutely SHINED! 🌟 They performed two stunning Renaissance-era madrigals: "O Bone Jesu" by Palestrina and "Je Ne Suis Moins Aimable" by Pierre Certon. Their hard work, dedication, and musical artistry truly paid off as they received EXCELLENT feedback from their adjudicator.

But wait… there’s more! 🏆 Vocal Ensemble earned THUNDERBIRD'S FIRST SUPERIOR RATING IN SEVERAL YEARS! 🏆

We couldn’t be prouder of these talented students and all the passion they poured into their performance. A huge THANK YOU to NAU for hosting such a fantastic event.

Last Friday Beginning Choir participated in their district festival, working with a local clinician on two of our Holiday songs with all the other beginning choirs from the district!

Today, Vocal Ensemble performed a selection of patriotic songs at the Phoenix VA Health Care System as part of their Society of the Honor Guard Never Forget Garden Marker Dedication Ceremony! It was a wonderful experience, and thank you so much to the Phoenix VA for having us!
