How to fix exposed tile edges ?
It was our first time tiling and in a rush to finish our shower, we didn’t spend enough time planning the niche…. We assumed there would be lots of tile edges that would work but trying to cut an exterior corner piece of trim around the shelves has proven tough because the trim bends and it’s hard to get a clean cut. I have seen tools that are specifically for tile trim- are they worth buying ?

I know it’s not pretty but if anyone has any advice on how to clean this up I would be sooooo grateful 🥲

Would this be ok to just tile over?
What was once a soap dish holder is now a 3x3 hole in the tile. Soap dish is MIA so can’t put it back on, thinking just putting up same tiles as the rest of the shower. It looks like the tile was sitting in drywall, or green board, unsure. I plan on doing a complete renovation/remodel on the shower 2-5 years down the road, so would I be fine just putting some tiles back over this hole as a temporary fix or am I looking at having to put something like backer board or cement board on the area and then tiling?

Gap between shower floor and wall

I just finished tiling my shower and realized I made a mistake where my wall tile and pan tile meet. The lower right edge has about a 1/2” gap compared to the left side which is about an 1/16” gap. I will be using the colour matched silicone but I’m worried it will look bad being an uneven joint across the bottom. The grout and silicone will be Frost white. What would most do in this situation? I do not want to replace the tiles. Do I live with the gap? Will it be very noticeable? Should I try a pencil tile along the bottom scribed to the floor for an even gap?

looks really awesome for your first time and im sure anybody would be completely satisfied with this job. for me personally i would have done 1 thing different . i would have put the full tile on the schluter side of side wall instead of it butting to a half or better than half cut, this way the 2 cuts would have looked more continuous thru corner

What did I do wrong?
As, it is my first time using large format tiles in a shower, and also my first time using the Rubi cyclone leveling system.

I am a contractor, and prefer not to do tile, but I live in a small town and I have a hard time finding reliable help that is skilled with tile (not that I'm great either, but I at least make sure that everything is waterproof and decent)

I used a half inch by half inch trowel and back buttered every tile. I tried using a smaller trowel, but didn't like the coverage that I was getting. As you can see, when I used a mallet to knock off the leveling clips, parts of the leveler clip were still left visible. Now I'm going to have some fun with my multi-tool getting these out...

Would it be advisable to continue using the same trowel size but go lighter on the edges?

Spin tile leveling system
my question for the community is- anyone else have issues with spin leveling systems? I love it for walls but for the floor tile it shifts the tiles when turning them... I get so angry lol I know there are friction pads but am I missing something here? I know I can knock the tile with a mallet into place but I don't want to. Adds time and frustrates me

I'm considering just going with wedge system for next project since with that system I know which direction the wedge will move the tile and I'll have better control

Ceramic tile that has high absorption rate
I picked this tile for the shower wall. After the contractor installed it, he said it’s quite porous and absorbed a lot of water. Is this going to be an issue?! He said that he properly waterproofed the walls so it should be fine. Please advise!
