We are proud to share the first published feature about Welcome Home Artists Platform by Felice Agency.

WELCOME HOME is an evolving international artist platform and curatorial initiative founded by artists Özlem Yeni and Chris Agnese. Built as a mobile and community-centered platform, it brings together installation, film, textile, sound, performance, and participatory practices to explore memory, identity, belonging, and human connection.

Our first gathering will open on June 12 at CAM Gallery in Downtown Phoenix, transforming the gallery into an immersive environment where audiences are invited to slow down, reflect, connect, and experience art collectively.

The evening will feature works and performances by:
Özlem Yeni
Chris Agnese
Cecilia Carvalhal
Kristen Miologos

We are deeply grateful to Felice Agency for their support, thoughtful collaboration, and for helping us share the vision behind this new platform with the wider community.

Special thanks as well to Melissa Erickson, Founder & Executive Director of The Funding Studio, who will deliver the opening remarks, and to Meg Jones for introducing the evening.

This is only the beginning.
Welcome Home will continue growing through future workshops, residencies, exhibitions, and collaborations across Phoenix, the U.S., Türkiye, Australia, Brazil, and beyond.

As you move,
something is always left behind.
A room.
A language.
A version of yourself.
A silence.
Movement can be freedom.
But it can also be longing.
Sometimes we move forward.
Sometimes we disappear a little along the way.

What is displacement?
It is learning how to live
between hope and loneliness.
Between where you came from
and who you are becoming.

Introducing Özlem Yeni — co-founder of WELCOME HOME, visual artist, curator, gallery owner, stage designer, and educator whose multidisciplinary career spans more than 25 years across visual and performing arts.

Originally from Turkey, Özlem holds a BFA in Painting and both a Master’s and Ph.D. in Theatre Stage Design and Construction from Dokuz Eylül University. Alongside her artistic practice, she spent 18 years as an academic and lecturer in Theatre Stage Design, contributing extensively to education, research, and artistic development.

Her work has been exhibited internationally through solo and group exhibitions in Turkey, Japan, Australia, Albania, and beyond. She is also a proud member of the International Association of Art (AIAP-IAA), a UNESCO-affiliated organization representing professional artists worldwide.

After years of artistic and academic work in Turkey, Özlem expanded her practice internationally, developing workshops in the Australian Outback, collaborating with institutions such as the Mount Isa Regional Art Gallery and Queensland Music Festival, and later founding “The Main Gallery” in Adelaide — the first gallery established by a Turkish artist in Australia.

Throughout her career, Özlem has worked across painting, installation, stage and costume design, curatorial practice, and community-based artistic exchange, always driven by a deep commitment to collective memory, human connection, and interdisciplinary creation.
