We had so much fun at last night's Maestro and are happy to announce our newest Maestro winner for 5/21/2020. Congrats Katie!
Maestro is a highly supportive and fun improvised competition at the Philly Improv Theater. Improvisers vie for audience votes until one is named Maestro!

Maestro (previously named Mice-tro, hence the mouse in the image, get it?) could be simply described as an elimination format improv show. Improvisers are called by the directors who set up the scenes and add input during the scene. The audience is asked to score the scenes and as the show goes on lower scoring players are eliminated, leaving one person who is named that week’s Maestro!
Keith Johnstone of Theatresports ™ developed Maestro in The Netherlands when he needed a format that could include students and improvisers of differing levels. Maestro at the Philly Improv theater is played by a mix of both Phit students and company members. The format is designed to support the improviser in taking risks while creating spontaneous, real fun theater!
