Proceeds from Nupe Jam Sessions Volume 1 benefits the Adrienne Collins Ross Scholarship fund which was started in 2001 as a tribute to Adrienne, who passed away in January of the same year at the age of 45 after a long battle with Lupus.

Adrienne was an upstanding member of her church and the Philadelphia chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She was also a mother and a passionate advocate for quality education, especially for the youth.
