you guys it can be a daunting task to share new work all the time . trying to just realize that I have been putting out more than I realize , things I’m actually proud of, and trying to be less scattered more consolidated in sharing those things. letting my heart cool it on new emotions so it can rest for something bigger and better to create . really wish I learned this younger. no matter how valid or sound , there’s such a thing as cramming too many emotions into one moment in time . I am learning to savor the things I feel these days, let them run their course. there’s overtly negative things like anger and hurt and sadness of course. . but the more difficult to categorize emotions of curiosity, frustration, uncertainty even. not everything needs answers. and actually when i let these things be and breathe i arrive at love and happiness and trust with greater clarity and conviction , on their own time . but the world we live in asks us to compartmentalize and categorize and hurry so much. we don’t want to be remembered as a the sad anxious depressed person so we force happiness when it doesn’t feel right. and then it’s a whole other effort to present that part of ourselves at all the right times and to the right people. likely making us even more depressed and expended with all the extra effort. sometimes it feels beautiful to experience as many hues of emotions as humanly possible . making my life experience , more human . just not at the same time . just some late thoughts 💙💙💙💙.

really really excited like reaaally excited to be opening for Philly stop for her “Brave Not Perfect” book tour tomorrow! Something I’ve tried to keep in the forefront of my mind when sharing myself is “expression > perfection” . Little did I know there’s a whole book written about the importance of this, by a fellow South Asian woman, who also happens to be New York Times best selling author and founder of 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 this is happening tomorrow, in the AM .
