Actors' Equity Association is disgusted by the anti-trans bills signed in Florida today. Governor DeSantis is the latest in a string of far-right politicians to advance a coordinated attack against LGBTQ+ people by first targeting a form of performance created and fostered by the LGBTQ+ community. Freedom of expression - both in art and in life - is a cornerstone American value, and we continue to oppose any attempt to curtail it.

Equity stands in solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community.
