There’s a difference between hearing music and fully experiencing it. Check out this amazing moment from a recent night curating entertainment for featuring our DJs alongside live musicians creating an atmosphere that felt immersive, elevated, and impossible not to move to.

Shoutout to our rockstar Pat for being THE moment.

For couples and brands looking to create a celebration that feels less like a playlist and more like an experience, you’ve found your people.

Music yes, but here’s what you’re forgetting…

1. You can invest in all the glitz & glam to make a party pop, but the couple or host should have their dancing shoes ready. If you’re not dancing, it’s likely no one else will.

2. A party is only as great as the guests who show up to celebrate you, so be sure to invite your ride or dies and let them know the stakes in advance.

3. Great lighting has the power to completely shift the energy of a room. Thoughtful changes at the perfect moment can pull people in, build anticipation, and keep the dance floor moving all night long.

4. You can have the best playlist ever, but if you don’t have a master DJ who understands how to read the room and weave it together, you’re rolling the dice…

We loved rocking this 4 hour wedding dance reception with Will & Artemis at The Yale Club. 🪩🤍

A few wedding tips from our founder after experiencing hundreds of weddings:

* Stay in your first dance longer than you think you should. Couples often ask to shorten it, but those moments go by incredibly fast, and they become some of the most meaningful photos and memories of the night.

* Seat your younger, more energetic guests closer to the dance floor. Guests who want quieter conversation or less stimulation will usually enjoy being seated further from the speakers and main action.

* Start speeches with the most timid speaker and close with the strongest speaker. It helps build confidence and creates a stronger emotional flow throughout the toasts.

* Music comes first. Lighting comes second. But thoughtful lighting changes can completely shift the energy of a room, especially when guests spend most of the evening in one space.

* Your wedding day moves faster than most couples expect and if you spend the entire night worrying, hosting, or thinking about what’s next, you can miss the very moments you worked so hard to create.

* Choose a DJ who genuinely understands your culture, musical taste, and the kind of energy you want your wedding to carry. You want a DJ who can speak your musical language and to your unique to your love.

We support our couples and clients with so much more than just music. From presence, to connection, to logistics and flow, we got you.

IRL events are NOT a trend, they’re essential to our wellbeing. While the digital world is great for sharing ideas, updates, and logistical coordination - it’s being fully present with others to both witness and participate that is the nectar of life.

Whether it’s in celebration, collaboration, or merely to witness… we are physical and spiritual beings that need to move, groove, and play in this matrix of life.

Grateful for being able to play beyond the screen last week at WIPA MASTERMIND & connecting with peers and friends.

Cheers to a balanced and successful season ahead for all.

After curating music and entertainment for hundreds of weddings, here are a few things we encourage couples to think about before deciding:

1. The first thing couples should think about isn’t band or DJ. It’s what music they actually want to hear.

2. Some music is meant to be performed live. Other music is best delivered by a DJ.

3. If your taste ranges from disco to hip hop to EDM to Latin, a DJ usually creates the most seamless experience.

4. The best DJ + live music setups are intentionally arranged, not constantly layered. Live musicians should elevate specific moments, not play over every song all night. A great DJ acts like a conductor, directing when musicians should step forward and when they should pull back.

5. Your venue acoustics matter more than most couples realize.Certain venues create too much echo or reverb for live percussion or larger ensembles.

6. A 50-person wedding requires a very different musical presence than a 200-person wedding.

7. What kind of energy do you want your guests to experience?

8. Modern music is often producer-driven, which is why many genres translate better through a DJ.

9. Live musicians bring human energy, spontaneity, and performance into the room.

10. The strongest weddings balance soundtrack and showmanship. The goal isn’t to do the most. The goal is to create the right atmosphere.

Say what’s up to Musho!

Over a decade behind the decks, but his foundation started on the floor. Before he was reading rooms, he was moving through them. As a dancer, he studied rhythm, timing, and musicality from the inside out. Now, that same instinct shapes every set he plays. For him, DJing isn’t just selection. It’s expression. His records become his voice, carried through the speakers and felt in every body on the floor. He’s not just thinking about what sounds good. He’s feeling for what moves people. If it makes him want to get funky, it makes the set. He understands how music awakens the body and feeds the soul.
