I shot this on the Lensbaby Twist60. It is a currently produced lens with a vintage vibe. It reminds me of the old Soviet Helios lenses. The natural vignette in the corners, the sharp center giving way to softness at the edges paired with the Petzval swirl in the out of focus background adds to the tenderness of this intimate moment. I could have easily shot this on a more traditional lens and it would be lovely, but it wouldn’t be THIS.

The upside of not having a brick & mortar studio is that client consultations typically include bougie coffee.
