🍞 Sourdough isn't just bread. It's a process, a practice, and a little bit of kitchen magic.

If you've ever thought making sourdough was too complicated, this episode is for you.

Certified Health Coach Caprice Crebar walks us through the entire process, from caring for your starter to pulling a golden, crusty loaf from the oven. She breaks it down into simple, manageable steps that make sourdough feel approachable, even if it's your very first loaf.

Along the way, she also shares why so many people love sourdough. The long fermentation process can make it easier to digest for many people, creates the tangy flavor sourdough is known for, and helps unlock nutrients naturally found in the flour. (It's still not safe for people with celiac disease.)

Whether you've been baking for years or you've always wanted to give sourdough a try, this episode is full of practical tips to help you get started.

Watch the full episode of Dancing in the Kitchen on YouTube for Caprice's complete sourdough tutorial, recipe, and favorite baking tips.

Some recipes are about more than the food—they're about the moment. 🫖🥒

These Cucumber Tea Sandwiches from Becca Davis are simple, elegant, and proof that a handful of fresh ingredients can create something truly special.

Creamy herb cheese, crisp cucumber, bright lemon zest, and soft bread come together in a sandwich that's perfect for afternoon tea, bridal showers, brunch with friends, or any day you want to make feel a little more special.

🥒 Cucumber Tea Sandwiches

Ingredients

1 English cucumber
Kosher salt
4 oz cream cheese, softened
2 Tbsp mayonnaise
Zest of 1 lemon
1 Tbsp fresh dill
1 Tbsp fresh chives
8 slices firm sandwich bread

✨ Pro Tip: Salt the cucumber slices and let them rest for 10 minutes before assembling. It removes excess moisture so your sandwiches stay crisp instead of soggy.

Simple. Fresh. Timeless.

Meal prep doesn't have to mean eating the same thing every day. 🥣

That's exactly what I love about Michelle "Shelley" Lewis' SOUL Bowl system.

Instead of prepping seven identical meals, you prep simple building blocks that you can mix and match all week long.

SOUL stands for:
✨ Seasonal
✨ Organic
✨ Unrefined
✨ Local

Every bowl follows one simple formula:

🥩 Protein
🥦 Produce
🍠 Slow Carb
🥑 Fat & Flavor

Cook a few proteins, roast some vegetables, prep a colorful salad, make a grain or two, and suddenly you have endless combinations for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Healthy eating doesn't have to be complicated—it just needs a system that works for your life.

Homemade potstickers are easier than you think! 🥟

If you've never made dumplings before, this recipe from Patty Campbell is a wonderful place to start.

The filling is completely customizable, so you can use tofu, mushrooms, chicken, or whatever your family enjoys most. Once filled, the dumplings are pan-fried until golden, then steamed to create that perfect crispy-bottom, tender-top texture.

It's a recipe that's just as fun to make as it is to eat.

The more color on your plate, the more nourishment you're giving your body. 🌈🥗

That's one of the biggest lessons I learned from Marlowe Bassett.

Her Rainbow Raw Salad is packed with colorful vegetables that bring a variety of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and incredible crunch to every bite. It's simple to make, beautiful to serve, and an easy way to eat more plants throughout the week.

🌈 Rainbow Raw Salad

Ingredients
• ¼ wedge red cabbage
• ¼ wedge white cabbage
• 1 Chioggia beet
• 1 golden beet
• 1 watermelon radish
• 1 stalk celery
• 1 large (or 2 small) carrots
• 1 cucumber
• 1 English cucumber
• 1 green apple
• 1 zucchini
• Zest of 1 lemon

Dressing
🍋 Fresh lemon juice
🫒 Extra virgin olive oil
🧂 Sea salt
