Today I turn 40, and Fading Light: Echoes of a 90s Childhood officially goes out into the world with me. 86 poems about the decade that raised me, and the ache of looking back at it. Streetlights, latchkey afternoons, the small-town Midwest I can't quite get back to. Releasing them on this birthday specifically wasn't a coincidence. Link in bio to grab a copy.

I finally have it in my hands.
Fading Light: Echoes of a 90s Childhood.

After all the writing, rewriting, formatting, worrying, waiting and wondering if this was actually going to happen, there’s a physical book sitting in front of me.
And yeah, that feels pretty damn good.

I don't think we understood how temporary it all was.

The bedrooms we thought we'd have forever.
Saturday mornings with nowhere to be.
Bikes left in driveways when the streetlights came on.
The little things we never thought we'd forget.

And then, somehow, we grew up.

Just finished Seinfeldia and as the biggest Seinfeld fan I know, this one was made for me. A fun, deep dive into how the show came together and where so many of those iconic plotlines actually came from. Highly recommend it for any real fan of the show.

Just finished Batman Animated by Paul Dini and Chip Kidd and it was everything I hoped it would be. The production art alone is worth it. Batman: The Animated Series is the greatest show ever made and I will die on that hill. New review is up on the blog. Link in bio.
