🌿💦 Did you know this little Illinois escape is only about an hour and a half from Chicago?

Cascade Falls in Oglesby is tucked inside Matthiessen State Park where you’ll find waterfalls, sandstone canyons, winding trails, and some seriously gorgeous scenery. 🥾🍃

It feels like you’ve traveled way farther than Illinois, but it makes for such an easy day trip from Chicago. Definitely add this one to your Midwest adventure list! 📍✨

☕️ Faire Coffee in Washington never misses! The coffee was delicious, the vibes were cozy, and now I have another reason to come back because I NEED to spend an afternoon actually wandering around Washington Square and shopping all the cute little local spots. 🛍️✨

Consider this my excuse to plan a Washington Square day very soon. 👀

👹🍹 If you’ve been wanting to try Nightjar’s Cryptids & Creatures menu, NOW is the time!

I stopped in for one of their seriously fun themed cocktails this past week and it’s been brought to my attention that this menu is officially disappearing at the end of September. 👀

That means we’ve only got about a month left to chase some cryptids before Nightjar transforms for their fall & holiday pop-ups. 🍂✨

Fall Flight Night at Eli’s 🍂☕️ and somehow the chai was my absolute favorite?? I did NOT expect that as such a coffee person, but it completely won me over.

🍪 Golden Hour Latte— literally tasted like a cookie. Absolutely delicious.
🍌 Banana Brulee Chai— the WINNER. 🏆 I seriously didn’t expect a chai to take my number 1 spot, but this was incredible.
🍎 Candy Apple Twist— really good, just a little too sweet for me personally! If you’re a lotus person you’ll likely love it!
🎃 Pumpkin Pie Miel— an elevated take on the classic pumpkin spice latte and easily my second favorite. SO good.

I’m officially ready for pumpkin season, cozy drinks, and all things fall. 🍁☕️

If you want to try any of these for yourself, you won’t have to wait long! 🍂☕️ They’ll all be available soon when Eli’s full fall menu officially drops at all locations. 🎃✨

Illinois really keeps surprising me 🌿💦 Cascade Falls is only about an hour from Peoria and makes for such an easy little day trip when you want to get outside and explore.

Sometimes you don’t have to go far at all to find something beautiful. 🥾✨

Two Sisters and a Warehouse is basically my personal hunting ground 🛒✨

I’m always digging for vintage Stangl dishware to match my growing set, funky cartoon glassware, uranium glass, and all the weird little treasures I absolutely do not need but will be taking home anyway. 😂

If you love vintage, antiques, collectibles, or just the thrill of never knowing what you’re going to find, this place is SO fun to wander. 🧡

Stopped by Leaves ’n Beans Coffee in Peoria Heights ☕🌿

Such a cozy local spot with great coffee, plus they have plenty of beans and syrups to bring a little coffee shop magic home with you.

Definitely worth a stop! 🤎
